Fr. Dan is a retired priest who says, “retirement is great if you find ways to keep busy” – and we are glad that we are helping to keep him busy! Fr. Dan enjoys serving the St. Elias community in welcoming inquirers and answering questions about Orthodoxy at Coffee Hour, leading adult education classes and engaging the youth in childrens’ sermons.
Fr. Dan and Kh. Elfreide Daly were married at St George Antiochian Orthodox Church in Detroit Michigan and have two sons, Fr. Raphael and Subdeacon John, and three grandchildren.
Getting to know Fr. Dan:
-
Fr. Dan was a convert to Orthodoxy over 40 years ago. He will soon have a book about his journey to Orthodoxy published by St. Vladimir Seminary Press.
-
A favorite book: For the Life of the World by Fr. Alexander Schmemman, and he would recommend it to any Orthodox Christian.
-
A favorite Bible verse: John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”
